Out-of-office, teen angst, live chat with goats
Hello! How are you?
I’ve had the week off work. In normal times this would have meant a trip away or visiting friends, spending all day exploring. Of course, holidays look and feel very different now. This week’s list includes an article on missing long train journeys and that feeling of “suspended time”. It reminded me of this piece on waiting for a flight at the airport, when there’s nothing to do but “lounge at the tipping point for something new”. I can’t help thinking it’ll be a long time before we again experience the giddy anticipation of a holiday, but I can say, putting on an out-of-office – declaring a break in some form – can still spark a little holiday joy. Have a great rest of the week!
